What is a Tempur® mattress? What are they made from?
It is a type of mattress made using Tempur material, which is a proprietary form of viscoelastic foam. Originally developed by NASA to cushion astronauts during space travel, this material is known for its ability to conform to the body's shape and provide personalised support and pressure relief. Do I need to turn the mattress?

Can I clean my mattress? Does it have removable covers?
Sleepers spend on average 8 hours a night in their bed, making them a natural breeding ground for some pretty nasty things! Most people (hopefully) change their bedding regularly to eliminate smells etc, but can often overlook the mattress. The good news is that all items from the current collection include a removable mattress cover that can be washed at either 40 or 60 degrees. Clear manufacturer’s instructions to assist in the cleaning of your mattress are provided on the stitched label. For those covers that can’t be washed in this way, the complementary Tempur-fit mattress protector helps protect them from spills and other unpleasantness. As Tempur material itself cannot be washed, sponged or dry cleaned, a good mattress protector is crucial to prolonging its lifespan.
Are they recyclable?
When reaching the end of its lifespan, the polyurethane foam is cleaned, shredded and reused in a variety of products such as carpet underlay, car seats and insulation panels. The company continues to liaise with other mattress recyclers worldwide to identify potential opportunities for used foams and other ways to utilise their unique material.
