Worth knowing:
Platform Top Base
What it is: An FSC-certified solid wooden top upholstered in fabric, forming a firm, stable base beneath the mattress.
How it helps you: Provides a consistent, supportive feel across the entire mattress surface and helps prolong the life of the mattress above it. This is a genuine Relyon base covered by the full 10-year guarantee.
Storage Options
What it is: Available in non-storage, drawer storage, or the Platform Top Ottoman Base, which uses a gas ram mechanism to lift the entire base top for access to a large storage cavity beneath.
How it helps you: Drawers are made from hard-wearing laminate with smooth-running runners and a 9kg weight limit per drawer, offering easy daily access without lifting the mattress. The Ottoman Base suits customers who want maximum storage volume. On single divans, drawer side (left or right) is chosen at the point of order.
The Included Mattress: Relyon Stratus Dunlopillo Latex
What it is: A medium (3/6) Pillow Top pocket spring mattress filled with Dunlopillo Latex and a Cashmere and Silk Blend. The spring system is 1050 Hand-Nested and Hand-Centre-Tied pocket springs. The mattress uses a glue-free, internally tufted construction and is covered in a Damask Stretch Knit fabric. Depth is 36.5cm.
How it helps you: The Pillow Top layer delivers a soft, cushioned feel on entry, while the 1050 pocket springs provide responsive, independent support beneath. Dunlopillo latex regulates temperature and is naturally hypoallergenic. Firm Edge Support extends the sleeping surface to the very edge. This is a no-turn mattress - rotate head to toe regularly to extend lifespan.

Vs bed frames: A divan set sits lower to the floor and has a more minimal visible profile than most bed frames. The base is fully upholstered with no exposed legs or joints. The set includes the mattress, whereas bed frame buyers purchase their mattress separately. Bed frames offer more design variety but no integrated base support for the mattress.
Vs other divan sets in this price range: This set offers a genuine hand-nested, hand-centre-tied spring system and natural Dunlopillo latex, rather than the all-foam or basic open-coil constructions found in many entry-level divan sets. The 10-year guarantee on both base and mattress also goes beyond what's typical at this price point.
Vs premium and luxury divan ranges: This set shares the same upholstered Platform Top base construction and pocket spring technology as higher-priced divan ranges. The difference is typically in the depth of the comfort layers and the breadth of natural fillings in the mattress, rather than any compromise in base quality or craftsmanship.
The Stratus Dunlopillo Latex Divan Bed is backed by Relyon's 10-year manufacturer's guarantee, covering both the base and the mattress against defects in materials and workmanship. Given the quality of the hand-nested spring system and natural latex construction, this is a set built to last - the guarantee reflects that.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Relyon holds A-grade manufacturer status from the National Bed Federation, independently verifying that this divan set meets strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
Manufacturing Guild Mark - Relyon was the first bed manufacturer to be awarded this prestigious mark by the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, recognising exceptional standards of craftsmanship.
Made in Britain - This divan set is handmade in Great Britain, reflecting over 160 years of Relyon's bed-making heritage.
The Stratus Dunlopillo Latex Divan Bed delivers a rare combination: a genuinely supportive Platform Top base, a plush pillow top mattress, and breathable natural latex - handcrafted in Britain and backed by a 10-year guarantee. If you're a side sleeper, share a bed, or simply want a complete sleep set that's ready to go straight out of the box, this is one to consider.
