Worth knowing:
Platform Top Base
What it is: A solid wooden platform base upholstered in a range of fabrics and colours.
How it helps you: Provides a consistent, supportive feel across the entire mattress surface, and is a genuine Duvalay base covered by the full 10 year warranty.
Storage Options
What it is: Non-storage, drawer storage, and an End Opening Ottoman base are available. The Ottoman uses a gas-ram mechanism to lift the base top, offering significantly more capacity than drawer storage.
How it helps you: Drawer storage has a 20kg per drawer weight limit and offers easy daily access without lifting the mattress. The End Opening Ottoman suits customers who need maximum storage volume and don't require daily access.
The Included Mattress: Duvalay Snowdrop 2000
What it is: A soft (1/6) Pillow Top pocket spring mattress built around the 2000-count Midas Touch Pocket Spring system, filled with a Wooltec wool fibre layer and a cashmere comfort layer beneath a soft viscose cover. The mattress is hand tufted and finished with two rows of side stitching, with flag-stitched handles and side air vents.
How it helps you: The Pillow Top layer delivers a plush, body-hugging softness on entry, while the pocket springs provide responsive, individual support beneath. The Wooltec wool and cashmere fillings regulate temperature naturally. This is a no-turn mattress - rotate head to toe regularly, especially with the seasons, to extend its lifespan.

Vs bed frames: A divan set sits lower to the floor with a more minimal visible profile than most bed frames, and the fully upholstered base has no exposed legs or joints. The set includes the mattress, whereas bed frame buyers purchase their mattress separately. Bed frames offer more design variety but no integrated base support for the mattress.
Vs other divan sets in this price range: This set offers a genuine matched base and mattress pairing with natural wool and cashmere fillings and a 10 year warranty covering both pieces - features that lower-priced, foam-only divan sets typically don't include.
Vs premium and luxury divan ranges: This set shares the same upholstered base construction and pocket spring technology as higher-priced divan ranges. The difference is typically in the depth of the comfort layers rather than any compromise in base quality or craftsmanship.
The Snowdrop 2000 divan set is backed by Duvalay's 10 year manufacturer's warranty, covering both the base and the mattress against defects in materials and workmanship. Given the quality of the natural fillings and genuine Duvalay base construction, this is a set built to last, and the warranty reflects that.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
The Snowdrop 2000 divan set delivers a soft, plush feel with natural wool and cashmere comfort layers, a genuine matched Duvalay base, and a 10 year warranty covering both pieces. If you're a side sleeper who wants a complete, ready-to-sleep-on set, this is one to consider.
