Revolution Spring System
What it is: Harrison Spinks' three-part pocket spring system totalling 14,000 springs: 12,000 titanium alloy HD Pocket Springs that flex independently in three dimensions, 1,000 Advanced Cortecâ„¢ Quad Revolution Pocket Springs with spring-within-a-spring technology, and 1,000 low-profile Posturfil Pocket Springs.
How it helps you sleep: Each spring type contours to your body's contours to relieve pressure and support natural posture, while the layered spring depths give two distinct levels of firmness and encourage airflow to keep the mattress fresh.
Pillow Top
What it is: An extra layer of cushioning sewn onto the top of the mattress, as if the mattress were topped with a pillow.
How it helps you sleep: Increases softness and comfort on entry, easing pressure points and providing a more luxurious, indulgent feel before the springs take over the support.
Wool and Viscose Blended Layer
What it is: A soft, breathable blend combining natural wool with smooth viscose.
How it helps you sleep: Provides gentle warmth, excellent moisture control and a silky texture that keeps you feeling fresh throughout the night.
Wool and Flax Blended Layer
What it is: A natural blend of wool and flax fibres.
How it helps you sleep: Works together to provide excellent breathability and moisture-wicking, helping regulate temperature and keep you feeling fresh.
Wool and Mohair Blended Layer
What it is: A premium blend of natural wool with the smooth, silky texture of mohair.
How it helps you sleep: Provides excellent breathability and temperature regulation for a comfortable, cosy feel throughout the night.
Cotton and Hemp Blended Layer
What it is: A natural blend combining the softness of cotton with the strength and durability of hemp fibres.
How it helps you sleep: Creates a breathable, moisture-wicking layer that helps keep you cool and comfortable, while providing long-lasting support.
Ecotex Fibres
What it is: Sustainable fibres made from recycled materials, achieving a Global Recycled Standard accreditation and fully recyclable at the end of their life.
How it helps you sleep: Provides excellent comfort and support with breathable properties that encourage airflow, plus rebound properties for enhanced support, all in an eco-friendly package.
3 Rows of Hand Side Stitching
What it is: Three rows of traditional hand stitching carried out by skilled upholsterers using long needles and natural twine along the mattress sides.
How it helps you sleep: Extends the sleeping area to the mattress edge by supporting the mattress walls, so you get full use of the surface without the springs distorting.
Hand-Tufted
What it is: The traditional method of mattress upholstery where fillings are secured by hand with tufts from the top of the mattress to the bottom.
How it helps you sleep: Ensures all loose fillings stay evenly distributed and firmly in place, maintaining consistent comfort and preventing lumps from forming over time.
Chemical-Free Wool Cover
What it is: A naturally safe, fire-resistant cover made from 50% wool and 50% viscose, produced without chemical treatments.
How it helps you sleep: Provides a fresh, healthy sleeping surface free from harmful chemicals, ideal for sensitive sleepers.

Vs firmer mattresses: If you choose the Aphrodite Deluxe in Soft or Medium, the pillow top and layered natural fillings give noticeably more pressure relief at the shoulders and hips than a firmer mattress in this price bracket. If you sleep on your side or share a bed and want cushioning without losing support, this is likely the better choice. Firmer mattresses generally suit heavier sleepers or those who want a more rigid, supportive surface with less give.
Vs softer mattresses: Choosing the Aphrodite Deluxe in Medium or Firm gives you considerably more structural support underneath the comfort layers than a typically softer mattress. Softer mattresses can feel more immediately plush, but may not maintain spinal alignment as consistently, particularly for combination sleepers or couples with different body weights.
Vs premium and luxury mattress ranges: The Aphrodite Deluxe shares the same hand-tufted construction, natural fillings and multi-part pocket spring technology found in higher-priced luxury ranges. The difference typically lies in the depth of the comfort layers and the total spring count rather than any compromise in craftsmanship - 14,000 springs already puts this mattress at the upper end of what's available.
The Harrison Spinks Aphrodite Deluxe is backed by Harrison Spinks' 10 year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. Given the quality of the natural fillings and the hand-tufted construction, this is a mattress built to last - the guarantee reflects that.
The Aphrodite Deluxe has received several awards and accreditations, including:
The Aphrodite Deluxe delivers a rare combination: a genuine luxury feel, layered natural support and a choice of tension - all hand-finished in Britain and backed by a 10 year guarantee. If you're a side, back or front sleeper, share a bed, or simply want a mattress that feels as good in five years as it does on night one, this is one to consider.

The comfiest mattress ever. Would 100% recommend. I will never get a cheap mattress again, spring count definitely matters. We actually stayed in a very posh hotel with an amazing mattress… when we looked under the sheets it was a Harrison spinks mattress and we knew what we had to do! The rest is history. The best uninterrupted sleeps ever since buying.

read moreI suppose it is relative, from what I came from this is incredible. You could easily spend more, but not sure why you would need to? It is firm, which is what I want but the pillow top adds softness and luxury, but keeps the support. The primary reason for purchase was that it is hand made in Britain.
