Product Description

The Harrison Spinks Classic Comfort is a handcrafted pocket spring mattress from Harrison Spinks, built by expert bedmakers in Yorkshire. It's constructed around the Cortec™ Quad Pocket Spring System and filled with breathable British wool and recycled Ecotex™ fibres - no foam, no synthetics. The result is a medium-feel mattress that eases pressure points, regulates temperature naturally, and is fully recyclable at the end of its life. Every mattress is backed by a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee and hand tufted for a mattress built to last.

Who Is This Mattress For?

A handcrafted, foam-free pocket spring mattress best suited to sleepers who want medium support, effective temperature regulation and a fully recyclable, chemical-free construction.

Medium Feel - 3/6: The goldilocks option - not too firm, not too soft. Medium is the most versatile firmness level, balancing comfort and support in a way that suits most sleeper types.

Best for

  • Side sleepers - the Cortec™ pocket springs contour to your body, cushioning shoulders and hips to relieve pressure points
  • Back sleepers - supportive enough to maintain the spine's natural curve without feeling too firm
  • Front sleepers - firm enough to stop your hips sinking, comfortable enough that you won't notice
  • Combination sleepers - independently moving springs adapt as you change position through the night
  • Temperature-sensitive sleepers - natural British wool and breathable Ecotex™ fibres regulate temperature and wick away moisture
  • Eco-conscious buyers - 100% foam-free, 100% recyclable, glue-free spring construction
  • Sleepers up to 114kg (18st) per side

Not ideal for

  • Sleepers who prefer a very soft, sink-in feel
  • Heavier sleepers who may benefit from a firmer tension for extra support

How it Compares

Vs firmer mattresses: The Cortec™ pocket springs and medium tension give noticeably more pressure relief at the shoulders and hips than a firmer surface. If you sleep on your side or share a bed, this is likely the better choice. Firmer mattresses suit heavier sleepers or those who want a more rigid, supportive surface.

Vs softer mattresses: This mattress has more structural support underneath the comfort layers thanks to the independently moving pocket spring system. Softer mattresses can feel more immediately plush but may not maintain spinal alignment as consistently, especially for combination sleepers.

Vs premium and luxury mattresses: This mattress shares the same pocket spring technology, natural wool fillings and hand-tufted construction found in higher-priced ranges. The difference is typically in the depth of the comfort layers rather than any compromise in quality or craftsmanship.

10 Year Guarantee

The Classic Comfort is backed by Harrison Spinks's 10-year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. Given the quality of the natural materials and hand-tufted construction, this is a mattress built to last - the guarantee reflects that.

Awards & Accreditations

The Harrison Spinks Classic Comfort has received several awards and accreditations, including:

National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.

Made in Britain - Every Classic Comfort mattress is handcrafted in Yorkshire, England.

"I’ve been using the Harrison Classic Comfort mattress for a few weeks now, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. From the first night, I noticed a huge difference in how well I slept. The support it provides is perfect, especially for my back, which often gave me trouble with other mattresses. It’s firm enough to offer great support, but still has a lovely cushioned feel that makes it super comfortable. I wake up feeling refreshed and without any of the stiffness I used to experience. If you’re looking for a mattress that combines comfort with excellent support, this is the one! Worth every penny!
