Worth knowing:
Zip & Link Design
What it is: Two 90cm x 200cm single mattresses, each built to the full Saphira Deluxe specification, that zip together to form one 180cm x 200cm super king sleeping surface.
How it helps you sleep: Each sleeper has their own mattress, so movement on one side is far less likely to disturb the other, and the two halves can be handled separately for easier turning and moving.
HD Pocket Springs
What it is: Harrison Spinks' HD spring, made with lightweight titanium alloy - mini pocket springs that work completely independently of each other for three-dimensional support.
How it helps you sleep: These springs adapt to your body's contours to relieve pressure while you sleep, giving greater comfort and lumbar support, and help push the natural fillings back into position so the mattress keeps performing for longer.
Advanced Cortec Quad Revolution Pocket Springs
What it is: Spring-within-a-spring pocket springs, where a smaller inner spring nests inside a larger outer spring to deliver two distinct levels of firmness.
How it helps you sleep: The outer spring provides initial softness and comfort, while the inner spring activates for deeper, more responsive support - tailoring itself to your shape and promoting good posture throughout the night.
Wool and Viscose Blended Layer
What it is: A soft, breathable blend where natural wool combines with smooth viscose.
How it helps you sleep: Provides gentle warmth, excellent moisture control and a silky texture that keeps you feeling fresh throughout the night.
Yorkshire Fleece Layer
What it is: A layer of the finest British fleece, sourced from Yorkshire.
How it helps you sleep: Gently cushions the body while regulating temperature and wicking away moisture for a restful, uninterrupted night's sleep.
Wool and Flax Blended Layer
What it is: A natural blend of wool and flax fibres.
How it helps you sleep: Works together to provide excellent breathability and effective moisture-wicking, helping regulate temperature and keep you feeling fresh.
British Wool, Cashmere and Alpaca Layer
What it is: A blend of British Wool, Cashmere and Alpaca fibres.
How it helps you sleep: British Wool provides robust breathability, Cashmere lends exquisite softness, and hypoallergenic Alpaca offers gentle insulation - together creating a plush, naturally temperature-regulating layer.
Wool and Mohair Blended Layer
What it is: A blend of natural wool and smooth, silky mohair.
How it helps you sleep: Provides excellent breathability and temperature regulation for a comfortable, luxurious feel that helps you stay cosy and relaxed throughout the night.
Cotton and Hemp Blended Layer
What it is: A natural blend of soft cotton and strong, durable hemp fibres.
How it helps you sleep: Creates a breathable, moisture-wicking layer that helps keep you cool and comfortable throughout the night while providing long-lasting support.
Chemical Free Wool Cover
What it is: A naturally fire-resistant wool cover produced without chemical treatments.
How it helps you sleep: Provides a fresh, healthy sleeping surface free from harmful chemicals, ideal for sensitive sleepers.
4 Rows of Side Stitching
What it is: Multiple rows of stitching applied along the sides of each mattress, reinforcing the border.
How it helps you sleep: Extends the sleeping area to the mattress edge by supporting the mattress walls, giving consistent support across the full surface.
Flag-Stitched Handles
What it is: Handles sewn onto the sides of each mattress using a flag-stitch method.
How it helps you sleep: Makes it easy to reposition and turn each mattress regularly, helping maintain even wear and consistent support.

Vs firmer mattresses: The Medium tension of the Saphira Deluxe gives more pressure relief at the shoulders and hips than a firm mattress, making it the better choice if you sleep on your side or change position through the night. Firmer mattresses suit heavier sleepers or those who want a more rigid, supportive surface.
Vs softer mattresses: The Medium tension offers more structural support beneath its natural comfort layers than a softer mattress. Softer mattresses can feel more immediately plush but may not keep the spine as consistently aligned, especially for back, front and combination sleepers or couples with different body weights.
Vs premium and luxury mattresses: The Saphira Deluxe shares the handcrafted construction, dual pocket spring technology and natural fillings found in higher-priced luxury ranges. The difference is typically in the depth and rarity of the comfort layers used rather than any compromise in quality - and at this clearance price, that construction comes at a saving versus buying new.
The Saphira Deluxe comes with Harrison Spinks' 10-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
Harrison Spinks and the Saphira Deluxe have received a number of awards and accreditations, including:
King's Award for Enterprise in Innovation - Recognises Harrison Spinks' commitment to creating new products with cutting-edge sleep technology, awarded for a genuine step-change in design and manufacturing.
King's Award for Enterprise in International Trade - Independently recognises Harrison Spinks' success in growing overseas trade while maintaining British craftsmanship.
Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development - Confirms Harrison Spinks' long-standing commitment to sustainable, responsible manufacturing.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
Made in Britain - Independently certified confirmation that this mattress is handcrafted in the UK.
The Saphira Deluxe brings dual pocket spring support, hand-tufted natural fillings and a foam-free construction, all handcrafted in Britain, to your bedroom. This clearance listing offers the Super King Size Zip & Link in a Medium tension at a reduced price while stocks last - ideal for side, back, front and combination sleepers, and for couples who want their own side of the bed.
