Worth knowing:
Platform Top Base
What it is: A wooden platform base upholstered in fabric, available with fixed silver glides.
How it helps you: Provides a solid, stable and consistent surface across the entire mattress, and is covered by the same 5 year warranty as the mattress.
Storage Options
What it is: This divan is available with no storage, drawer storage, or Ottoman storage with a gas-ram lift mechanism.
How it helps you: Drawer storage offers everyday access to spare bedding without lifting the mattress, while Ottoman storage suits customers who want maximum storage volume beneath the bed.
The Included Mattress: Highgrove Blyth Ortho
What it is: An extra firm (6/6) orthopaedic pocket spring mattress filled with a natural blend of wool, cotton, cashmere and silk fibres. The spring system is Highgrove's KineTech Pocket Spring, with 2000 springs. The mattress is hand-tufted, finished with side stitching, flag-stitched handles and chrome air vents, and covered in a breathable 100% viscose fabric. Depth is 28cm.
How it helps you: The extra firm feel and 2000 individually encased pocket springs provide dedicated support and spinal alignment, particularly suited to front and heavier sleepers. The natural fillings and breathable cover help regulate temperature. This is a double-sided mattress - turn weekly for the first 3 months, then monthly thereafter to help the fillings settle evenly.

Vs bed frames: A divan set sits lower to the floor with a more minimal, upholstered profile than most bed frames, and includes the mattress as part of the set. Bed frame buyers purchase their mattress separately, and typically get more design variety at the cost of built-in base support for the mattress.
Vs other divan sets in this price range: At this price point, this set offers a genuine orthopaedic pocket sprung mattress with natural fillings, an upholstered base with a choice of storage options, and a 5 year warranty covering both base and mattress, rather than a mattress and base sold and warrantied separately.
Vs premium and luxury divan ranges: This set shares the same upholstered base construction and pocket spring technology found in higher-priced divan ranges. The difference is typically in the depth of the comfort layers and the number of natural fillings used, rather than any compromise in base quality or construction.
The Highgrove Blyth Ortho Divan Bed is backed by Highgrove's free 5-year manufacturer's warranty, covering both the base and the mattress against defects in materials and workmanship. Given the natural fillings and hand-finished mattress construction, this is a set built with longevity in mind, and the warranty reflects that.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.

The Highgrove Blyth Ortho Divan Bed brings together a genuinely supportive Platform Top base and a dedicated orthopaedic mattress in one complete set, all backed by a free 5 year warranty. If you're a front sleeper, a heavier build, or simply want firm, well-aligned support night after night, this set is worth considering.
