Unfortunately the mattress padding has a strong smell of lanolin from the sheep wool used in it. The smell of sheep is like being in a farmyard and it has persisted for over a month now and makes all the bedding and our night clothes smell as well. We weren’t warned about this and unfortunately couldn’t test the mattress in store as they were not in stock and had to be ordered. We had to buy some expensive mattress toppers to make the mattresses comfortable as the buttons protrude and dig in. Alll in all a thin mattress not as comfortable as the one in the shop which was the nearest to the one we bought. The staff in the shop were very helpful in the shop before our and during our visit, only wish someone had warned us about the strong smell or even rang to check we were happy with our purchase.

This is an easy-care mattress, which means you do not need to turn the mattress over, however, you should rotate from head to toe on a regular basis to ensure even use.
This mattress has been tested to pass UK Fire Regulation 1988, this test reduces the risk of ignition and can be used for commercial use such as in a B&B or hotel.
As with all mattresses, there may be a slight smell when first opened. We liken this to a new car smell, which is non-harmful and will disappear within a few hours.
This product has natural properties which help wick away moisture allowing air to circulate through the mattress. Therefore in most situations, this mattress won't cause excessive heat.
