The Hypnos Hotel Luxury is a foam-free, double-sided pocket sprung mattress, handcrafted in Great Britain by Hypnos, the Royal Warrant holder behind some of the country's finest beds. It is built around Hypnos's ReActiveâ„¢ pocket spring system and layered with naturally breathable wool, a durable white fibre blend and sustainable GRS recycled fibre, all wrapped in a chemical-free Belgian damask cover. The wool gives this hotel-grade mattress a naturally temperature-regulating, hypoallergenic feel, while the medium tension delivers balanced comfort and support that holds its shape night after night. Hand-tufted, fully turnable and fire-tested to UK hotel standards, it is equally suited to a guest room, a holiday let or your own bedroom.
A foam-free, double-sided pocket sprung hotel mattress best suited to sleepers who want balanced medium support, with naturally breathable wool comfort layers and true edge-to-edge reinforcement.
Medium Feel - 3/6: The goldilocks option - not too firm, not too soft. Medium is the most versatile firmness level, balancing comfort and support in a way that suits most sleeper types.
Best for
Not ideal for
ReActiveâ„¢ 6-Turn Pocket Spring System
What it is: Hypnos's expertly engineered pocket springs, with 6 active turns in a single continuous design that senses the comfort and support requirements of each sleeper.
How it helps you sleep: Provides total body comfort by responding to your weight and position, while the continuous spring creates a bellow-like effect that drives cool air around the mattress to reduce moisture and maintain a comfortable temperature.
Wool and White Fibre Blended Layer
What it is: A blended comfort layer combining naturally breathable wool with resilient white fibre.
How it helps you sleep: Wool regulates temperature to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter and is naturally hypoallergenic and antimicrobial, while the fibre adds strength and resilience so the mattress keeps its shape and lasts longer.
GRS Sustainable Fibre
What it is: A sustainable comfort layer made from repurposed polymer-based bottles, with a unique vertically crimped design that facilitates air circulation.
How it helps you sleep: Actively regulates body temperature and wicks moisture more efficiently than foam while keeping a similar soft texture, helping you stay cool and comfortable through the night.
Triple Edge Protectionâ„¢
What it is: Hypnos's higher-tension edge spring system providing true edge-to-edge support with a non-roll-off reinforced edge.
How it helps you sleep: Extends the sleeping area to the very edge of the mattress while preventing roll-off, giving you total comfort and support across the entire surface.
Chemical-Free Belgian Damask Cover
What it is: A soft-to-the-touch Belgian damask cover woven from certified sustainable cotton yarn and viscose, with no chemical fire-retardant treatment.
How it helps you sleep: Provides a smooth, fresh and hygienic sleeping surface with a luxurious feel, using natural materials for a healthier sleep environment.
CRIB 5 Fire Certificate
What it is: A certification confirming the mattress has passed UK fire regulations to the higher hotel and contract standard, dramatically reducing the risk of ignition.
How it helps you sleep: Provides important fire safety assurance for both domestic and commercial use, giving you and your guests genuine peace of mind through the night.
Hand Tufted
What it is: A traditional upholstery method where fillings are secured by hand with tufts running from the top to the bottom of the mattress.
How it helps you sleep: Keeps all loose fillings evenly distributed and firmly in place, maintaining consistent comfort and preventing lumps from forming over time.
Side Stitching
What it is: Stitching applied along the sides of the mattress that ties the border fabric to the spring system.
How it helps you sleep: Supports the mattress walls to extend the full sleeping area to the edge and improve the durability of the mattress border.
Flag-stitched Handles
What it is: Handles sewn onto the sides of the mattress using a flag-stitch method for durability.
How it helps you sleep: Makes moving and rotating the mattress straightforward, helping you maintain the mattress properly for long-lasting comfort.
Chrome Air Vents
What it is: Chrome-finished ventilation eyelets set into the sides of the mattress to allow airflow.
How it helps you sleep: Promotes continuous air circulation throughout the mattress, regulating temperature and maintaining a fresh, dry sleep environment.
Double-Sided Mattress
What it is: A mattress designed with fillings on both sides, allowing it to be flipped over and rotated regularly.
How it helps you sleep: Regular flipping distributes wear evenly across both sleep surfaces, helping the fillings settle consistently and prolonging the comfort and support of your mattress.
Eco-Friendly Packaging
What it is: Hypnos's industry-first recyclable, eco-friendly packaging made from renewable sugar cane materials.
How it helps you sleep: Reduces environmental impact from the moment your mattress arrives, reflecting a wider commitment to sustainability for a more responsible sleep choice.
100% Recyclable
What it is: A foam-free mattress that is 100% recyclable at the end of its life, designed never to go to landfill.
How it helps you sleep: Offers the peace of mind of a responsibly made product, contributing to a cleaner environment while providing the comfort and support needed for great sleep.

Vs firmer models: The medium tension gives noticeably more give at the shoulders and hips than a firm or extra firm mattress, making the Hotel Luxury a better all-rounder for mixed households and couples who change position through the night. Firmer models suit heavier sleepers or those who specifically want a more rigid, supportive surface.
Vs softer models: The Hotel Luxury has more structural support beneath its comfort layers, thanks to the ReActive pocket springs and hand-tufted, double-sided build. Softer mattresses can feel more immediately plush but may not hold their shape or maintain spinal alignment as consistently, especially under regular or heavier use.
Vs premium / luxury ranges: The Hotel Luxury shares the same handcrafted British construction, pocket spring technology and foam-free, fully recyclable materials as Hypnos's higher-end ranges. The difference is typically in the depth of the comfort layers and the number of natural fillings, rather than any compromise in quality or craftsmanship.
The Hypnos Hotel Luxury is backed by Hypnos's 5 year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. Built to handle the demands of hotel and everyday use, with a hand-tufted, double-sided construction and durable wool and fibre comfort layers designed to keep their shape, this is a mattress made to last, and the guarantee reflects that.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
Hypnos Royal Warrant Holder - Hypnos proudly holds a Royal Warrant from His Majesty King Charles III for beds, mattresses and upholstery, a standard of craftsmanship that has to be earned and maintained.
Made in Britain - Independently certified confirmation that this mattress is manufactured in the UK.
The Hypnos Hotel Luxury brings genuine hotel-grade comfort home: a balanced medium feel, responsive ReActive pocket spring support and breathable, foam-free wool comfort layers, all handcrafted in Britain and fire-tested for hotel use. Whether you sleep on your side, back or front, share a bed, run warm at night, or are kitting out a guest room or holiday let, it is a dependable, hard-wearing choice.
