A handcrafted, foam-free turnable pocket spring mattress made exclusively for Land of Beds, featuring Solotexâ„¢ and eOlusâ„¢ sustainable fibre fillings, a medium (3/6) feel, and a smooth Viscose Blend cover for breathable, year-round comfort.
Medium Feel - 3/6: The goldilocks option - not too firm, not too soft. Medium is the most versatile firmness level, balancing comfort and support in a way that suits most sleeper types.
Best for
Not ideal for
ReActiveâ„¢ 6-Turn Pocket Spring System
What it is: Hypnos's pocket spring system with 6 active turns per spring. Each spring is a single continuous coil that moves independently, responding to your body weight and position.
How it helps you sleep: Tailored support that follows your shape as you move, with minimal motion transfer between sleeping partners. The open spring structure also drives air through the mattress to regulate temperature and keep it fresh.
Solotexâ„¢
What it is: A lofty comfort fibre layer with rebound properties and an open structure that promotes airflow through the comfort layers.
How it helps you sleep: Adds cushioning depth and softness to the feel of the mattress, supports shape retention over time, and keeps air moving through the fillings to help regulate temperature and reduce moisture build-up.
eOlusâ„¢ Sustainable Fibre
What it is: A comfort layer made from repurposed polymer bottles that would otherwise go to landfill. Its vertically crimped structure creates natural air channels through the fibre.
How it helps you sleep: Actively circulates air and wicks away moisture more efficiently than foam, helping to regulate body temperature throughout the night while keeping the mattress fresh and comfortable.
Viscose Blend Cover
What it is: A smooth, soft-to-touch cover with excellent breathability, moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating properties. The hypoallergenic fabric provides a clean, well-ventilated sleeping surface.
How it helps you sleep: Keeps the sleeping surface cool, dry and comfortable throughout the night, complementing the airflow properties of the Solotexâ„¢ and eOlusâ„¢ fillings beneath.
Hand Tufting
What it is: A traditional upholstery technique where tufts are hand-stitched from the top of the mattress to the bottom, securing all comfort layers in place.
How it helps you sleep: Keeps the fillings evenly distributed and prevents them from shifting over time, so the mattress maintains consistent comfort and shape on both sides.
2 Rows of Hand Side Stitching
What it is: Senior upholsterers use long needles and twine to hand-stitch the outer springs to the mattress border at both the top and bottom.
How it helps you sleep: Strengthens the edges, prevents spring distortion, and extends the sleeping area right to the border - the most labour-intensive finish in traditional mattress making.

Vs firmer models: The Luna Deluxe's medium (3/6) tension gives more cushioning at the shoulders and hips than a firm mattress, making it the better fit for side sleepers, combination sleepers, and those who want a balance of comfort and support. Firm options suit heavier sleepers or those who want a more rigid sleeping surface.
Vs softer models: The Luna Deluxe offers more structural support beneath the comfort layers than a soft mattress, which is particularly important for combination sleepers and couples. Softer options can feel more immediately plush but may not maintain spinal alignment as consistently over time.
Vs other Hypnos mattresses in the range: The Luna Deluxe is Hypnos's foam-free, entry-level turnable model in the range at Land of Beds, using Solotexâ„¢ and eOlusâ„¢ synthetic comfort fibres rather than natural wool. This makes it a well-ventilated, accessible choice for customers who want Hypnos craftsmanship and pocket spring quality without the higher price of wool-filled models. The turnable design also extends the usable lifespan compared to no-turn models. Higher models in the range include Red Tractor Assured British Wool and additional natural fillings for enhanced temperature regulation.
The Hypnos Luna Deluxe is backed by Hypnos's 5-year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. Handcrafted in Britain with a turnable double-sided construction, this is a mattress built to perform on both sides for years - the guarantee reflects that.
Hypnos Royal Warrant Holder - Hypnos has held a Royal Warrant since 1929, supplying beds to the British Royal Household. It is a standard of craftsmanship that has to be earned and maintained over generations.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing. Not every mattress brand carries this approval.
Made in Britain - Independently certified confirmation that the Luna Deluxe is manufactured in the UK, by Hypnos's fourth- and fifth-generation craftsmen.
The Hypnos Luna Deluxe delivers handcrafted British pocket spring quality, breathable foam-free construction, and a turnable design that maximises lifespan - all made exclusively for Land of Beds and backed by a 5-year guarantee. If you want a versatile medium-feel mattress that suits all sleeping positions and stays fresh on both sides, this is worth considering.
