The Bloomhurst is a fabric-upholstered bed frame from Land of Beds, finished in a deep, smooth navy velvet that brings genuine colour and presence to the bedroom. The 120cm padded headboard carries a geometric surface design stitched directly into the velvet - a detail that gives the bed a boutique-hotel quality without relying on bold shapes or over-dressed styling. Dark wood legs and a solid wooden slatted base complete the frame, keeping the mattress firmly supported and well-ventilated. Available in Double, King Size and Super King Size, the Bloomhurst Navy is SMETA certified and uses FSC certified wood, confirming ethical and responsible sourcing throughout.
A navy velvet bed frame with a geometric padded headboard and solid wooden slatted base, designed for bedrooms where a strong, deliberate colour choice sets the tone for the whole room.

Worth Knowing
Navy Velvet Upholstery
What it is: A smooth velvet fabric in a deep, saturated navy covering the frame and headboard throughout.
How it helps you: The depth of the navy tone means the bed holds its presence in the room under different lighting conditions - it reads as rich and intentional in the evening as it does in daylight, making it a reliable anchor for the rest of the room's scheme.
Geometric Padded Headboard
What it is: A 120cm tall padded headboard with a geometric surface pattern stitched into the velvet, creating a structured, designer-inspired relief across the full width of the headboard.
How it helps you: Against the navy, the geometric stitching catches the light differently depending on the angle, giving the headboard a layered quality that a plain padded surface cannot achieve - and the padding behind the pattern means it is genuinely comfortable to lean against when sitting up.
Solid Wooden Slatted Base
What it is: A rigid slatted base made from wooden slats that supports the mattress from below, with slats spaced 6cm apart.
How it helps you: Allows air to circulate freely beneath the mattress, helping it breathe and regulate temperature for a more comfortable night's sleep.
Dark Wood Legs
What it is: Dark-stained wooden legs fitted at each corner of the frame, lifting the bed clear of the floor.
How it helps you: The dark wood tone sits naturally alongside the navy upholstery, grounding the frame and giving it a cohesive, furniture-quality finish rather than a mismatched contrast.

Vs divan beds: Bed frames sit on legs and allow airflow beneath the mattress, which helps the mattress stay fresh and regulate temperature over time. Divan sets sit closer to the floor, typically come with a matched base and mattress, and often include built-in storage. The Bloomhurst gives you a bolder design statement and considerably more freedom in how the room is styled; a divan gives you a more complete, integrated sleep set-up if that is the priority.
Vs wooden and metal bed frames: Navy velvet has a richness and tactile quality that wood and metal simply cannot deliver - the colour reads differently under artificial and natural light, and the velvet surface adds a layer of warmth that harder materials lack. Wooden frames suit those who prefer a more organic, furniture-led feel; metal frames suit industrial or minimalist rooms. Velvet does require more care to keep clean, which is worth bearing in mind in busier households.
Vs other frames in the range: Within the Land of Beds fabric frame range, the Bloomhurst Navy is the strongest colour statement available - the combination of deep navy velvet and geometric headboard gives it a character that plain-padded or neutral-toned frames cannot match. If the same geometric headboard appeals but a more understated palette suits your room better, the Bloomhurst Natural is the direct alternative. For a completely plain headboard in a similar neutral tone, the Fernleigh range is worth exploring.
SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) - An internationally recognised ethical trade audit confirming the Bloomhurst has been manufactured under fair working conditions, with responsible labour and environmental practices verified throughout the supply chain.
FSC Certified Wood - The Forest Stewardship Council certification confirms that the timber used in this bed frame has been sourced from responsibly managed forests - independently verified, so you know the wood has been produced without contributing to deforestation.
A mattress is not included with the Bloomhurst Navy. Any standard UK mattress fits - slat spacing is 6cm. If you would prefer a matched recommendation, the following mattresses have been selected to work with this base.

The Bloomhurst Navy is for customers who want the bed to do more than fill a corner - the deep navy velvet, geometric headboard and dark wood legs make it the kind of piece that pulls a room together rather than waiting to be styled around. It is available in Double, King Size and Super King Size, so there is a size to suit whether it is going into a primary bedroom or a larger guest room.
