Worth Knowing
Solid Wooden Slatted Base
What it is: A rigid slatted base made from wooden slats that spans the full width of the frame, spaced 6cm apart.
How it helps you: Allows air to circulate freely beneath the mattress, helping it breathe and regulate temperature for a more comfortable night's sleep.
Chesterfield-Style Buttoned Headboard
What it is: A tall, fully upholstered headboard finished in natural velvet with deep button detailing across the full face.
How it helps you: The padded surface gives firm, cushioned back support when sitting up in bed, and the classic buttoning adds a considered visual detail that works in both modern and traditional rooms.
Natural Velvet Upholstery
What it is: The entire frame - headboard, side rails, and foot end - is finished in a warm-toned natural velvet fabric.
How it helps you: Velvet is softer to touch than wood or metal and adds warmth and texture to the bedroom, making the space feel more considered and finished.
Turned Wooden Legs
What it is: Traditional turned wooden legs fitted to each corner of the frame.
How it helps you: Raises the frame 14cm from the floor, allowing airflow beneath the bed and making it easier to clean underneath. The turned profile complements the Chesterfield-style headboard and ties the overall design together.
Low Foot End
What it is: A gently upholstered foot end standing at 40cm, lower than the headboard.
How it helps you: Keeps the room feeling open rather than enclosed, and makes it straightforward to dress the bed with duvet sets, throws, and cushions without the foot end getting in the way.

Vs divan beds: Bed frames like the Bridgerton sit on legs and allow airflow beneath the mattress, helping it breathe and stay fresh. Divan sets sit flat to the floor, include a matched base, and often come with integrated storage. The Bridgerton offers more visual presence and a clearer style statement; a divan is a better fit for those who prioritise storage or prefer a more seamless finish.
Vs other fabric and upholstered frames: Upholstered frames are softer to touch than metal or wooden alternatives and bring more warmth to a room. Metal frames tend to suit industrial or minimalist bedrooms and are generally easier to clean. Wooden frames feel more traditional and structured. The Bridgerton sits at the premium end of upholstered options, with the deep-button Chesterfield detailing and turned legs giving it a more considered finish than a plain panel headboard frame.
Vs other frames in the range: The Bridgerton sits above entry-level Land of Beds fabric frames in terms of design detail - the buttoned headboard and turned legs make it a stronger visual choice for a primary bedroom. Customers who want the storage benefit of gas-lift or drawer storage alongside an upholstered finish should look at the Bridgerton Ottoman version. Those who prefer a simpler, more contemporary panel headboard may find other frames in the range a better match.
SMETA Certified - SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) is one of the most widely used social auditing frameworks in the world. It confirms that the materials and manufacturing processes behind this bed frame meet independently verified standards for ethical sourcing, labour practices, and sustainability. For customers who want to know their purchase has been made responsibly, SMETA certification provides that reassurance.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - The NBF is the UK's trade body for bed manufacturers and their suppliers. NBF Approval means this bed frame has been independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety, and responsible manufacturing. It is one of the most trusted marks of quality in the UK bed industry.
The Bridgerton combines a classic Chesterfield-style buttoned headboard with natural velvet upholstery and traditional turned wooden legs - a bed frame that brings character and warmth to any bedroom without compromising on everyday practicality. Available in Single, Double, King Size, and Super King Size with free UK delivery included.
