The Athena mattress in this set is a Medium (3/6) tension, double-sided mattress built on 1400 hand-nested, hand-centre-tied pocket springs with layers of lamb's wool, a cashmere and silk blend and cotton, giving a balanced, breathable feel that suits a wide range of sleepers. Relyon has been handcrafting beds in Britain since 1858 and was the first bed manufacturer to be awarded the Manufacturing Guild Mark.

What it is: An FSC certified solid wooden top upholstered in fabric, built by Relyon and finished with silver glides.
How it helps you: The Platform Top gives a consistent, stable surface across the full sleeping area, helping the Athena mattress perform at its best and prolonging its life. This particular base is finished in Welsh Flint upholstery, in a non storage configuration.
The Included Mattress: Relyon Athena (Medium, 3/6)
What it is: A 29cm deep, double-sided mattress with 1400 individually pocketed springs, hand-nested in a honeycomb pattern and hand-centre-tied with linen cord. Comfort layers of lamb's wool, a cashmere and silk blend, cotton and hypo-allergenic fibre sit beneath an M-Pure treated 100% Viscose cover, finished with hand tufting and 2 rows of hand side stitching.
How it helps you: The pocket springs contour to your body while working independently to minimise partner disturbance, and the Medium tension balances comfort and support for side, back, front and combination sleepers. Natural wool and cashmere-silk fillings help regulate temperature and add a luxurious softness, while the hand side stitching keeps the mattress supportive right to the edges.
Contour Headboard (Bed Fixing on Struts)
What it is: A contemporary headboard with a horizontal panelled design and a padded panel, upholstered in Welsh Flint to match the base. Two wooden fixing posts (struts) on the back insert into pre-drilled holes in the divan base and are secured with bolts. The panel is 58cm (22.8'') high, 135cm (4ft6) wide to match the Double bed, and 7cm (2.8'') deep.
How it helps you: Finishes the set with a coordinated look straight out of the box - no separate headboard purchase or fabric-matching needed. The padded panel adds comfort when you sit up to read or watch television, and the strut fixing holds the headboard firmly so it does not shift or creak.

When we remove your old bed or mattress, we ensure that it is disposed of in an environmentally responsible way. All products are sent to The Furniture Recycling Company, the UK's largest and most trusted furniture recyclers.
Put your screwdriver down and your feet up! Our fully-trained assembly specialists can set up your new bed in your room of choice. All we require is that the room is clear.

What beds do you offer assembly on?
We offer bed assembly on all divan beds and electric adjustable beds. We currently do not offer assembly on any flat pack beds, such as bed frames, bunk beds, guest beds etc. ... these will all come with instructions and take approx. 60 minutes to build.
How long does bed assembly take?
The time it takes depends on the type of bed. Divan beds take two people approximately 30 – 45 minutes, and adjustable beds take about 1 hour.
What happens during bed assembly?
Assembly is carried out on the day of delivery. Our team will carry the product to your room of choice, unpack, inspect it, and assemble it. This service takes two people on average 30 – 45 minutes. We will also take away all packaging and recycle it.
Can I add Bed Assembly after placing my order?
You can either add it to your order on the basket page and pay at checkout, or if you would like to add it after you have checked out, contact us on 01928 242829 before your order is due for delivery.
