The Relyon Huxley Memory Divan Bed is a complete handcrafted sleep set made exclusively for Land of Beds, pairing a Platform Top divan base with the Relyon Huxley Memory mattress. Relyon has been perfecting British bed making since 1858, and this base and mattress are chosen and tested to work together. The mattress is a medium-feel (3/6) hybrid design, combining a removable zip-off memory foam topper with 5500 individually pocketed springs and natural wool and cotton comfort layers, while the base offers a choice of drawer or ottoman storage. Every set is backed by a free 10-year guarantee covering both base and mattress.

Worth knowing:
Platform Top Base
What it is: An FSC-certified solid wooden top upholstered in a range of fabrics and colours. On single divans, drawer placement (left or right) is chosen at the point of order.
How it helps you: The solid, upholstered top gives a stable, consistent foundation across the entire mattress surface, helping to prolong mattress life. This is a genuine Relyon base covered by the full 10-year guarantee.
Storage Options
What it is: Two storage configurations are available: hard-wearing laminate drawers with smooth runners (9kg weight limit per standard drawer), or a Platform Top Ottoman base that uses a gas ram mechanism to lift the entire top for access to a large storage cavity beneath.
How it helps you: Drawer storage offers easy daily access without lifting the mattress. The Ottoman base suits customers who want maximum storage volume and don't need daily access - as a guide, a king size ottoman divan holds around 6 times more than a 2-drawer divan.
The Included Mattress: Relyon Huxley Memory
What it is: A medium (3/6) hybrid mattress with a removable zip-off memory foam topper (11cm deep), 5500 individually pocketed springs, memory foam, and natural breathable cotton and wool comfort layers. The mattress is finished with three rows of hand side stitching, flag-stitched handles and side air vents, and covered in a 51% Polyester, 49% Viscose quilted stretch knit cover treated with the natural M-Pure fire retardant.
How it helps you: The zip-off topper delivers plush, adjustable comfort on entry, while the 5500 pocket springs provide responsive, independent support beneath. Natural wool and cotton layers regulate temperature year-round. This is a no-turn mattress - rotate head to toe regularly to extend its lifespan.

The glides add a small amount of clearance beneath the base.
Vs bed frames: A divan set sits lower to the floor and has a more minimal visible profile than most bed frames. The base is fully upholstered with no exposed legs or joints, and the set includes the mattress, whereas bed frame buyers purchase their mattress separately. Bed frames offer more design variety but no integrated base support for the mattress.
Vs other divan sets in this price range: This set offers a genuine hybrid mattress with a removable, adjustable memory foam topper alongside a full 10-year guarantee covering both base and mattress - a longer term and a more adaptable comfort layer than many entry-level divan sets provide.
Vs premium and luxury divan ranges: This set shares the same upholstered Platform Top base construction and pocket spring technology as higher-priced divan ranges. The difference is typically in the depth of the comfort layers and the number of fillings in the mattress, rather than any compromise in base quality or craftsmanship.
The Relyon Huxley Memory Divan Bed is backed by Relyon's 10-year guarantee, covering both the base and the mattress against defects in materials and workmanship. With hand side stitching, thousands of individually pocketed springs and natural fillings built into every mattress, this is a set made to last - the guarantee reflects that confidence.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
Manufacturing Guild Mark - Relyon was the first bed manufacturer to be awarded this prestigious mark by the Worshipful Company of Furniture, recognising outstanding craftsmanship, quality and durability.
The Relyon Huxley Memory Divan Bed delivers a rare combination: a plush, zip-off memory foam topper, responsive pocket spring support, and a matched Platform Top base with a choice of storage, all backed by a 10-year guarantee covering the full set. If you're a combination sleeper, share a bed, or want a complete sleep package without the guesswork, this is one to consider.
