A headboard is not included in this divan set but two genuine matching options are available to add when selecting your options above: Richmond and Kingston. Both are upholstered to coordinate with the divan base, so your finished set will look cohesive straight out of the box.
Richmond
What it is: A floor-standing headboard with a subtle wrap-around wing design and Chesterfield-inspired button detailing. Extends from the top of the headboard to the floor and aligns with the width of the divan base. Available in Double, King Size and Super King Size.
How it helps you: Gives the set a show-stopping, hotel-quality finish. The floor-standing design means no drilling and no damage to paintwork - it simply sits behind the base.
Kingston
What it is: A horizontal panel design headboard, fixed on struts with 2 wooden fixing posts attached to the back. Available in Single, Double, King Size and Super King Size.
How it helps you: A minimalist, understated focal point for the bed, fixed securely to the divan base using the traditional strut-fixing method.

Vs bed frames: A divan set sits lower to the floor with a more minimal, upholstered profile than most bed frames, and comes with no exposed legs or joints. The set includes the mattress, chosen and tested to work with the base, whereas bed frame buyers source their mattress separately.
Vs other divan sets in this price range: This set offers a genuine luxury build - a Pillow Top and Geltex® comfort layer with BugShield® hygiene protection - alongside a supportive Platform Top base with locking castors and a 5-year guarantee covering both, and a choice of two genuine matching headboards.
Vs premium and luxury divan ranges: This set shares the same Platform Top base construction and Geltex® comfort technology found in higher-priced ranges. The difference is typically in the storage options and additional finishing details, rather than any compromise in base quality or construction - this set has no integrated storage, unlike most divan ranges.
The Sovereign divan set is backed by Sealy's 5-year manufacturer's guarantee, covering both the base and the mattress against defects in materials and workmanship. Given the quality of the spring construction, this is a set built to last - the guarantee reflects that.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
Zero Waste to Landfill Policy - A genuine commitment to environmental sustainability, helping reduce carbon footprint by fostering a circular economy.
The Sovereign divan set delivers a sumptuously comfortable, genuinely cooling sleep surface with BugShield® hygiene protection in one purchase - a supportive Platform Top base with locking castors, matched to a plush Pillow Top mattress. If you want reliable, all-round support with a genuine matching headboard option, this set is well worth a closer look. Its hospitality-grade build also makes it a genuine choice for hotels, B&Bs and Airbnb properties that need a durable, guest-ready set.
