The Natural Hybrid® Source is a foam-free hybrid mattress from Simba, handcrafted in Great Britain. It is built around a dual spring system - 1,900 titanium alloy Aerocoil® micro springs over a 1,000-spring CoreMax™ zoned barrel spring base - and upholstered with Hampshire wool and British wool layers throughout. The result is a medium firm mattress that delivers targeted pressure relief, natural temperature regulation and effective motion isolation, with no foam anywhere in the construction.
A premium foam-free hybrid mattress best suited to sleepers who want medium firm support, natural temperature regulation and effective partner disturbance isolation, built with British wool and handcrafted in the UK.
Medium Firm Feel - 4/6: A supportive feel with added stability. Ideal for people who change sleeping position during the night and need a balance of comfort and support.

Not ideal for
Hampshire Wool and British Wool Layers
What it is: Layers of 100% wool sourced from UK farms - Hampshire wool through the Traceable British Wool Scheme and British wool - providing cushioning and stability throughout the mattress.
How it helps you sleep: Natural wool regulates body temperature, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter. Its hygroscopic properties wick moisture away throughout the night, promoting a fresh, dry sleeping environment.
Aerocoil® Titanium Alloy Pocket Springs
What it is: Up to 1,900 conical, individually pocketed titanium alloy micro springs manufactured in Leeds.
How it helps you sleep: Each spring compresses independently in response to your body weight and movement, providing targeted pressure relief and minimising partner disturbance. As they compress, the conical shape pushes fresh, cool air upward through the mattress.
CoreMax™ 7-Zone Barrel Spring Base
What it is: Up to 1,000 high carbon steel barrel springs manufactured in Hampshire, arranged across seven support zones with a reinforced steel frame border.
How it helps you sleep: Provides firm, structured support that extends to the very edge of the mattress, reducing roll-off. The seven zones correspond to different areas of the body such as hips and shoulders for targeted, consistent support throughout the night.
Plant-Derived Viscose Cover
What it is: A non-removable cover made from plant-based viscose fibres, with a bio-based fire retardant treatment on the top surface and sides.
How it helps you sleep: Provides a silky smooth, breathable sleep surface that works with the wool fillings and open spring structure to keep air flowing freely through the mattress.

Vs softer models: The Source prioritises support over sink-in cushioning. If you sleep mainly on your side or carry less body weight, a softer mattress will provide more pressure relief at the shoulder and hip. The Source is at its best for back, front and combination sleepers who want a firm, natural feel.
Vs the Natural Hybrid® Escape: The Escape adds a second layer of Aerocoil® springs and an extra British wool stability layer. If you share a bed and want noticeably better motion isolation, or simply want a deeper, more cushioned feel without changing the medium firm tension, the Escape is the natural step up.
Vs the Natural Hybrid® Apex: The Apex carries the highest spring count in the range with three Aerocoil® layers, plus a Cashgora wool and silk top layer for the finest natural comfort Simba makes. The Source gives you the same foam-free, British-made construction and Aerocoil® technology at a more accessible price point.
The Natural Hybrid® Source is backed by Simba's 10-year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. Built with premium natural materials and precision-engineered springs, this is a mattress designed to last well beyond the length of its guarantee.
