Not ideal for
1697 Pocket Spring System
What it is: A system of 1,697 individually wrapped pocket springs. Each spring moves independently, responding to body weight and sleeping position.
How it helps you sleep: Tailored, zoned support that follows your shape, with minimal motion transfer between sleeping partners.
Graphite Memory Foam
What it is: A next-generation memory foam infused with graphite, with an open-cell structure that allows air and moisture to pass through.
How it helps you sleep: Cradles and moulds to your body shape, relieving pressure on hips and shoulders and improving blood circulation, while the graphite infusion helps draw heat away from the body to reduce overheating.
Reflex Foam
What it is: A supportive foam layer that compresses under pressure and springs back to its original shape, and is naturally resistant to dust mites.
How it helps you sleep: Adds a responsive support layer beneath the comfort layers, helping to reduce pain and discomfort for a deeper night's sleep - and is a good option for asthma and allergy sufferers.
Eco Comfort and Support Layer
What it is: A supportive fibre layer made from recycled materials, recovered from the ocean and diverted from landfill before being processed into yarns, with rebound properties for added support.
How it helps you sleep: Gives you the comfort of a traditional fibre layer while offering a genuinely lower environmental footprint than virgin materials.
Quilted Soft Knit Cover
What it is: A soft knit cover with a quilted sleeping surface and mattress borders, designed with enhanced cooling and moisture management properties.
How it helps you sleep: Adds soft cushioning at the surface while helping to regulate temperature and manage moisture through the night.
Flag-Stitched Handles
What it is: Handles fitted to all sides of the mattress.
How it helps you sleep: Makes it easier to position and turn the mattress when needed during set-up or cleaning.

Vs firmer mattresses: The pocket spring and layered foam construction gives more pressure relief than a fully firm mattress, while still offering the stability that back, front and combination sleepers need. Firmer mattresses tend to suit heavier sleepers or those who prefer an even more rigid, unyielding surface.
Vs softer mattresses: This mattress offers noticeably more structural support than a softer option, helping to keep the spine aligned for back and front sleepers. Softer mattresses can feel more immediately plush but may not maintain support as consistently, especially for combination sleepers who change position through the night.
Vs premium and luxury mattresses: This mattress shares the same pocket spring technology and layered foam construction found in higher-priced ranges, along with genuine sustainability credentials. The difference typically lies in the depth of the comfort layers and the materials used for the cover, rather than any compromise in the core support system.
The Viva Eco Hybrid is backed by Viva's 10-year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. With a substantial 1697-count pocket spring system and multiple supportive comfort layers, this is a mattress built for lasting comfort - the guarantee reflects that.
Planet Mark Sustainability Certification - An independently verified accreditation recognising a genuine commitment to lower carbon emissions and more responsible manufacturing.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
The Viva Eco Hybrid combines a substantial 1697-count pocket spring system with cooling Graphite Memory Foam and genuinely recycled comfort layers, giving back, front and combination sleepers a supportive night's sleep with a lower environmental footprint. If you want proven comfort and real sustainability credentials backed by a 10-year guarantee, this is a strong choice.
