The Dunlopillo Oxford is an upholstered floor standing headboard with four vertical panels set within a rounded, mitred border frame, available in Single, Small Double, Double, King Size and Super King Size. It is a slim fit floor standing design, meaning the panel extends from the top of the headboard to the floor at the same width as the mattress and divan base, and it is secured to the back of the divan base via wooden fixing posts rather than fixing to the wall. The Oxford stands 135cm tall and 8cm deep, is made in Somerset, UK, is available in a range of Dunlopillo fabrics and colours, uses FSC certified timber in its construction and is backed by a 10 year manufacturer's guarantee. It is designed for use with Dunlopillo divan bases, and fit on non-Dunlopillo bases cannot be guaranteed.
The Dunlopillo Oxford is an upholstered headboard with vertical panels set within a rounded, mitred border frame, available in Single to Super King Size and in a range of Dunlopillo fabrics and colours, with a slim fit floor standing fixing.

Worth knowing:
Framed Vertical Panels
What it is: A rectangular upholstered headboard. Across the upper section, four vertical panels sit within a rounded upholstered border that runs along the top and down both sides, finished with mitred corners. Below this is a plain lower panel, and the upholstered side posts have a softly rounded profile. There are no buttons, tufting or wings.
How it helps you: The rounded border frames the panels like a picture, giving the headboard a more finished, tailored look than a simple panel design. The vertical lines draw the eye upward, adding a sense of height and elegance to the room.
Upholstery & Fabric Choice
What it is: The headboard is upholstered and available in a choice of Dunlopillo fabrics and colours.
How it helps you: Allows the headboard to be matched to an existing Dunlopillo divan base or chosen to complement the wider bedroom scheme.
Slim Fit Floor Standing
What it is: The headboard panel extends from the top of the headboard to the floor, aligning with the width of the mattress and divan base. Upholstered side posts run down to the floor either side of the bed, while wooden fixing posts at the back are bolted to the divan base to hold the headboard securely in place. The slotted fixing posts allow some height adjustment, although the design is intended for the upholstered side posts to sit on the floor.
How it helps you: Gives the look of a tall, statement headboard without any wall fixing. The upholstered side posts create a full floor-to-panel finish from the sides of the bed, while the wooden fixing posts keep the headboard securely attached to the base so it will not shift. For the neatest finish, keep the side posts resting on, or just above, the floor.
FSC Certified Timber
What it is: The headboard frame is made from FSC certified timber.
How it helps you: FSC certification confirms the timber is sourced from responsibly managed forests, so you can choose your headboard with confidence in where its materials come from.

Vs a plain or non-branded headboard: The Oxford is made to fit the Dunlopillo divan range and is available in the Dunlopillo fabric range, so it can be matched to your base for a fully coordinated set. It is also built on an FSC certified timber frame and backed by a 10 year guarantee, which most generic upholstered headboards do not offer. If you do not have a Dunlopillo divan, or simply want a basic headboard for a spare room, a generic option may be the more practical choice.
Vs other Dunlopillo headboards in the range: The Oxford is one of the more structured designs in the Dunlopillo range, with a rounded border framing its vertical panels. It is more decorative than a smooth or simply channelled panel but cleaner than buttoned or winged styles, and its slim fit design keeps it the same width as the bed. If you prefer a lower headboard that fixes on struts at bed height, a bed-fix design in the range will suit you better.
Vs other headboards at Land of Beds: The Oxford is a premium branded headboard, sitting above entry-level upholstered headboards in price and offering brand-matched fabrics, a floor standing design and a long guarantee. Browse our full range of headboards to compare styles, heights and fixing methods.
The Dunlopillo Oxford is backed by Dunlopillo's 10 year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship, covering the frame and upholstery. This reflects Dunlopillo's confidence in the quality and durability of their headboards, giving you long-term peace of mind.
Manufacturing Guild Mark - Dunlopillo holds the Guild Mark, awarded by The Furniture Makers' Company in recognition of excellence in design, manufacture and craftsmanship.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing.
FSC Certified Timber - The timber frame is sourced from responsibly managed forests, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
The Dunlopillo Oxford adds height, structure and a classic, tailored finish to your bedroom without any wall fixing. Available in the Dunlopillo fabric range and backed by a 10 year guarantee, it is the natural choice for anyone completing a Dunlopillo divan set or adding a statement headboard to an existing Dunlopillo bed.

How do I attach the Oxford headboard to my divan base?
Find the pre-drilled holes in the back of the divan base and pierce the fabric over them. Position the headboard behind the base, then bolt the wooden fixing posts on the back of the headboard to the base. The upholstered side posts either sit on the floor or are just slightly elevated.
How tall and deep is the Oxford headboard?
The Oxford is 135cm (53'') tall and 8cm (3'') deep in every size, measured from the floor to the top of the headboard.
Can I use the Oxford headboard on a non-Dunlopillo bed?
The Oxford is designed for use with Dunlopillo divan bases, so we recommend pairing it with a Dunlopillo bed. Fit on non-Dunlopillo bases cannot be guaranteed.
Are the fixing bolts included with the headboard?
No. Fixing bolts are not supplied with the headboard - they are delivered with the divan base.
Will the Oxford line up with the sides of my bed?
Yes. The Oxford is a slim fit floor standing design, so it is the same width as the mattress and divan base and sits flush with the sides of the bed for a neat, tailored finish.
