A handcrafted, foam-free no-turn pocket spring mattress made exclusively for Land of Beds, featuring Hypnos's ReActiveProâ„¢ 7-Turn spring, RWS Certified British Wool, and a Himalayan Allo, Kapok and Organic Cotton blended layer, with a choice of Medium (3/6) or Firm (5/6) tension.
The goldilocks option - not too firm, not too soft. Medium is the most versatile firmness level, balancing comfort and support in a way that suits most sleeper types.
Best for
A supportive, solid feel designed to keep your body well supported throughout the night. Ideal for back and front sleepers, or those who prefer a firmer sleeping surface.
Best for
ReActiveProâ„¢ 7-Turn Pocket Spring System
What it is: Hypnos's premium pocket spring system with 7 active turns per spring. Each spring is a single continuous coil that moves independently, responding to your body weight and position with exceptional precision and sensitivity, available in Medium or Firm tension.
How it helps you sleep: The additional turns and refined engineering allow each spring to detect and respond to the exact support requirement at each point along your body. Minimal motion transfer between sleeping partners, and the open spring structure drives air through the mattress to regulate temperature and keep it fresh.
RWS Certified British Wool
What it is: British Wool certified to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), an independent standard that addresses the welfare of sheep, the land they graze on, and the people and communities involved throughout the supply chain. A more rigorous certification than standard traceability schemes.
How it helps you sleep: A natural insulator that keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter by regulating body temperature and wicking moisture away as you sleep. The RWS certification adds assurance over animal welfare, farm management and environmental responsibility throughout the supply chain.
Himalayan Allo, Kapok and Organic Cotton Blended Layer
What it is: A unique comfort layer combining three sustainably sourced natural fibres. Himalayan Allo is a plant fibre extracted from nettles grown in the Himalayan region, known for its durability and natural breathability. Kapok is a lightweight, hollow seed fibre from tropical Kapok trees, naturally moisture-resistant and buoyant. Together with organically sourced cotton, this trio creates a filling that is both biodegradable and renewable.
How it helps you sleep: Gentle and weightless in feel, the combination delivers support and resilience. Cotton and Allo efficiently absorb moisture and promote natural cooling, keeping the sleeping surface comfortable throughout the night.
Pure Cotton Cover
What it is: A smooth, soft-to-touch cover woven from certified sustainable cotton yarn and viscose, naturally fire-resistant and completely free from chemical fire treatments.
How it helps you sleep: The naturally fire-resistant cotton cover provides a clean, breathable sleeping surface free from synthetic additives, complementing the RWS wool and Himalayan Allo fillings beneath for a wholly natural sleeping environment.
Hand Tufting
What it is: A traditional upholstery technique where tufts are hand-stitched from the top of the mattress to the bottom, securing all comfort layers in place.
How it helps you sleep: Keeps the RWS wool and Himalayan Allo and Kapok fillings evenly distributed and prevents them from shifting over time, maintaining consistent comfort and shape night after night.
2 Rows of Hand Side Stitching
What it is: Senior upholsterers use long needles and twine to hand-stitch the outer springs to the mattress border at both the top and bottom.
How it helps you sleep: Strengthens the edges, prevents spring distortion, and extends the sleeping area right to the border - one of the most labour-intensive finishes in traditional mattress making.

Vs softer models: The Clevedon Deluxe provides tailored body-contouring support through the ReActiveProâ„¢ 7-turn spring, in both Medium and Firm tensions. Soft models suit those who want maximum cushioning with minimal support structure. If you prefer a very soft, plush feel, our soft mattress range is the right starting point.
Vs other Hypnos natural-fibre mattresses in the range: The Clevedon Deluxe is distinguished by its RWS Certified British Wool - a higher standard of wool certification than most other models in the range - combined with the Himalayan Allo and Kapok layer, and a naturally fire-resistant pure cotton cover free from chemical treatments. It is a no-turn mattress designed for those who want genuinely clean, certified natural materials alongside the quality of the ReActiveProâ„¢ 7-Turn spring. The Holywell Supreme steps above it with a 10-turn spring, the additional Fruit Fibre layer and Adaptivâ„¢ Comfort Springs.
Vs firm models: The Firm (5/6) Clevedon Deluxe delivers solid, well-supported sleep with RWS Certified British Wool for natural breathability. Dedicated orthopaedic models in the range provide maximum resistance for heavier sleepers or specific orthopaedic needs; the Clevedon Deluxe Firm suits those who want firm support with premium natural credentials.
The Hypnos Clevedon Deluxe is backed by Hypnos's free 10-year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. Handcrafted in Britain with RWS Certified British Wool, Himalayan Allo and Kapok, a naturally fire-resistant cotton cover and Hypnos's premium ReActiveProâ„¢ spring - this is a mattress built from genuinely clean, certified natural materials. The guarantee reflects that.
Planet Mark Carbon Neutral Certification - Hypnos holds Planet Mark Carbon Neutral Certification, an independently verified standard recognising organisations committed to reducing carbon emissions and measuring their environmental impact transparently year on year.
Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) - The British Wool in the Clevedon Deluxe is certified to the Responsible Wool Standard, an independent standard covering sheep welfare, land and pasture management, and the rights of workers throughout the supply chain.
Hypnos Royal Warrant Holder - Hypnos has held a Royal Warrant since 1929, supplying beds to the British Royal Household. It is a standard of craftsmanship that has to be earned and maintained over generations.
National Bed Federation (NBF) Approved - Independently verified to meet strict UK standards for quality, safety and responsible manufacturing. Not every mattress brand carries this approval.
Made in Britain - Independently certified confirmation that the Clevedon Deluxe is manufactured in the UK, by Hypnos's fourth- and fifth-generation craftsmen.
