What it is: A solid, upholstered platform top base providing a firm, flat wooden surface beneath the mattress. Available in a range of fabric colours to suit your bedroom.
How it helps you: The platform top provides a consistent, even surface that works with the Splendour Ortho's extra firm spring tension - there is no flex from the base, so the mattress performs exactly as intended. Storage Options
What it is: Three drawer configurations are available in addition to non-storage: 2 full size drawers, 4 full size drawers, and 2+2 continental drawers. Drawers are positioned within the base and sit flush when closed.

Does the divan set come with the mattress included?
Yes. The Splendour Ortho Divan Set includes both the upholstered platform top base and the Splendour Ortho mattress as a matched pair. You do not need to purchase a mattress separately. A headboard is not included and is sold separately.
What storage options are available?
There are four configurations to choose from: no storage, 2 full size drawers, 4 full size drawers, and 2+2 continental drawers. Each standard drawer has a 15kg weight limit. Continental drawers are shallower and wider than full size drawers, making them better suited to flatter items like spare bedding. Make sure you allow clear floor space on the drawer side to open the drawers fully.
What type of base is included in the set?
The set comes with a platform top base - a solid, upholstered wooden surface that sits beneath the mattress. There is no spring movement in the base itself. Is a headboard included?

Does the base need to be assembled?
Yes. For all sizes larger than a single, the base arrives in two sections and requires assembly. This is straightforward and takes approximately 30 minutes with two people. Full assembly instructions and fixings are included. Single size bases arrive in one piece.
What are the glides on the base?
Glides are fixed feet attached to the underside of the divan base. Unlike castors, they do not have wheels, so the bed stays firmly in place once positioned. The base depth of 35cm includes the glides.
Is this divan set suitable for a heavier sleeper?
Yes - the Splendour Ortho Divan Set is well-suited to heavier sleepers. The extra firm (6/6) mattress tension and 3000-count pocket spring system provide the support and durability needed for sleepers up to 114kg (18st) per side. How do I care for the included mattress?
The Splendour Ortho is a double-sided mattress. Flip and rotate it head to toe every three months to ensure even wear across both sides and to help the natural fillings settle consistently. The cover is not removable or washable, so using a quality mattress protector from day one is strongly recommended.
What guarantees are included with the divan set?
The mattress is covered by a 5 year manufacturer's guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. The base is covered by a separate 1 year guarantee. Both guarantees require the mattress to be used on a suitable base and properly cared for.

When we remove your old bed or mattress, we ensure that it is disposed of in an environmentally responsible way. All products are sent to The Furniture Recycling Company, the UK's largest and most trusted furniture recyclers.
Put your screwdriver down and your feet up! Our fully-trained assembly specialists can set up your new bed in your room of choice. All we require is that the room is clear.

What beds do you offer assembly on?
We offer bed assembly on all divan beds and electric adjustable beds. We currently do not offer assembly on any flat pack beds, such as bed frames, bunk beds, guest beds etc. ... these will all come with instructions and take approx. 60 minutes to build.
How long does bed assembly take?
The time it takes depends on the type of bed. Divan beds take two people approximately 30 – 45 minutes, and adjustable beds take about 1 hour.
What happens during bed assembly?
Assembly is carried out on the day of delivery. Our team will carry the product to your room of choice, unpack, inspect it, and assemble it. This service takes two people on average 30 – 45 minutes. We will also take away all packaging and recycle it.
