Worth knowing:
Sprung Divan Base or Firm Edge Sprung Divan Base
What it is: Two base options are available. The Sprung Divan Base contains 950 hand nested pocket springs beneath the upholstery for a softer, cushioned feel. The Firm Edge Sprung Divan Base contains the same pocket spring system with reinforced edge support around the perimeter.
How it helps you: The Sprung Divan Base helps absorb pressure and enhances mattress comfort from below. The Firm Edge Sprung Divan Base adds a more stable sleeping surface, improved durability and easier access in and out of bed. Both are genuine Vispring bases covered by the full 30 year guarantee.
Natural Base Fillings
What it is: Naturally breathable layers of coir fibre blended with Platinum Certified British Fleece Wool and cotton, built into the base beneath the pocket springs.
How it helps you: Improves airflow and helps regulate temperature for a fresher night's sleep, while working in harmony with the springs to enhance the comfort of the mattress above.
Storage Options
What it is: Storage configurations available: no storage; 2 full size drawers; 4 full size drawers; 2+2 Continental drawers. Drawers are crafted from solid beech with dovetail joints and soft-close mechanisms.
How it helps you: Soft-close drawers give you easy access to spare blankets and bedding without the noise of a standard drawer. The solid beech, dovetail-jointed construction is built for long-term durability. Allow clear floor space on the drawer side when ordering a drawer model.
The Included Mattress: Vispring Regal Superb
What it is: A pocket sprung mattress available in Soft, Medium, Firm or Extra Firm tension, built around 1,720 hand nested pocket springs and filled with hand teased British Fleece Wool, South American Horsetail and Shetland Wool. The mattress is hand tufted with felt washers, finished with 3 rows of genuine hand side stitching and tape edging, and covered in 100% Viscose with an M-Pure natural fire retardant treatment. Depth is 29cm.
How it helps you: The hand nested pocket springs respond independently to your body's weight and contours, while the natural wool and horsetail layers regulate temperature and recover their shape night after night. This is a double sided mattress. Turn and rotate seasonally, approximately every 3-4 months, to extend its lifespan.

The chrome castors are 7cm high, lifting the base 7cm off the ground. The upholstered base itself is 32cm deep.
Vs bed frames: A divan set sits lower to the floor and has a more minimal visible profile than most bed frames. The base is fully upholstered with no exposed legs or joints, and the springs inside the base work with the mattress above rather than sitting on a rigid platform. The set includes the mattress, whereas bed frame buyers purchase their mattress separately.
Vs other divan sets in this price range: The Regal Superb sits at the premium end of the divan market. Where cheaper divan sets typically pair an open coil or basic pocket spring mattress with a simple platform base, this set pairs 1,720 hand nested pocket springs and natural wool and horsetail fillings in the mattress with a genuinely sprung base of 950 further hand nested pocket springs, all backed by a 30 year guarantee rather than the 2 to 5 years typical of entry-level sets.
Vs premium and luxury divan ranges: This set shares the same hand nested pocket spring technology and natural fillings used throughout Vispring's range, and carries the brand's full 30 year guarantee. The difference between Vispring ranges is typically in the depth and number of natural filling layers rather than any compromise in base construction or craftsmanship.
The Regal Superb divan set is backed by Vispring's 30-year manufacturer's guarantee, covering both the base and the mattress against defects in materials and workmanship. Given the quality of the hand nested pocket springs and natural fillings used throughout, this is a set built to last - the guarantee reflects that.
The Regal Superb Divan Bed has received the following awards and accreditations, including:
The Regal Superb divan set pairs a genuinely sprung, handcrafted British base with a mattress available in four tensions, so you get the full support of a base and mattress engineered to work together rather than guessed at separately. If you want a complete, luxury sleep package backed by a 30 year guarantee on both parts, this is one to consider.

As with all mattresses, there may be a slight smell when first opened. We liken this to a new car smell, which is non-harmful and will disappear within a few hours.
This is a seasonal turn mattress which means you need to turn and rotate the mattress. You should rotate it from head to toe monthly and turner over every six months - a good way to remember to turn your mattress is when the clocks changes.
